November is just around the corner, and our team has been preparing for National Diabetes Awareness Month (NDAM). Our eighth fundraising season has begun, and we are revving up for our first major fundraising event of this season: GAME OVER, T1D!
Game Over, T1D! — Fundraisers Face the Gauntlet
November brings our 8th annual Game Over, T1D! Join us for a month of charity streaming for T1D cures in honor of NDAM. Last year, streamers raised $47,581.97 during NDAM. This year, we hope to ramp up the challenge and raise over $50,000! Register or donate to support our mission to help the 9.5 million people living with T1D.
Introducing…
NEW: Game Over, T1D! Gauntlet
The Game Over, T1D! Gauntlet is a collection of challenges to complete while fundraising all November! These challenges are meant to promote T1D advocacy and education while offering new, exciting ways to raise money.
Some challenges involve playing games that teach about type 1 diabetes, including Level One: A Diabetes Game — a mobile game created by Breakthrough T1D Play advisor Sam Glassenberg. Other challenges encourage creators to try something new, such as creating art on stream for donations. Participants earn points per challenge completed.
The top three creators will earn an exclusive 2026 Game Over, T1D! Gauntlet trophy, created by Ready Type One Ambassador Toonafeesh!
NEW! Pokéthon: November 15–22, 2026
Our friends from Colosseum are hosting Pokéthon from November 15–22. Creators can join the Trainers Unite team under the Colosseum Tiltify campaign to fundraise for Breakthrough T1D.
At the end of the week, Colosseum will host the main event featuring Pokémon creators taking on Pokémon challenges and chaos. Their goal: bring together as many Pokémon creators as possible and raise $25,000 for type 1 diabetes research.
Everyone is welcome to join the Trainers Unite team and fundraise during Pokéthon!

Community Spotlight: ZeldaSpeedruns Marathon
The ZeldaSpeedruns community came together to play 60+ hours of Zelda games while fundraising for Breakthrough T1D! From September 25–28, Zelda speedrunners played through a variety of Zelda games as fast as possible, utilizing movement optimizations and glitches.
During the marathon, the community completed 39 speedruns and raised $8,731.71 for type 1 diabetes research! Check out all the speedruns from the marathon on the ZeldaSpeedruns Youtube channel:
