National Diabetes Awareness Month (NDAM) is upon us! We have lots planned in November as our community bands together to raise $75K for Breakthrough T1D’s research and advocacy efforts.
Plus, one of our partners just made a huge announcement, and one of our fundraisers is taking Skyrim to the next level. Read all about it below.

															Game Over, T1D!
For the next month, our community will be fundraising and spreading type 1 diabetes (T1D) awareness all over Twitch and YouTube. Sound like fun? Set up a campaign on Tiltify and join us.
More than 100 community members will be playing games, making art, doing cosplay, and more during their November charity streams—that’s a Game Over, T1D record! See the stream schedule on our Discord.
Over on our own Twitch channel…
- We’ll check in with reps from Breakthrough T1D’s UK, Australian, and Canadian affiliates during T1D Tuesdays.
- We’re celebrating World Diabetes Day on November 14 with our staff charity stream (Beanboozles for everyone!), followed by an epic T1D-themed TTRPG campaign in Daggerheart.
- We’re lining up a few special Dev Diaries interviews with the developers of some of our favorite games.
Check out all of the Game Over, T1D! festivities on our website:

															Myst Humble Bundle
“I realized the moment I fell into the fissure, that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned…”
When Myst came out in 1993, the gaming world had never seen anything like it. The original open-world puzzle game was the #1 best-seller for nearly a decade (when it was dethroned by The Sims), and it spawned head-scratching sequels and spin-offs for years to come.
We’re beyond excited to join Cyan, the developer of this historic franchise, for the Myst & Riven Complete Collection game bundle, available through November 12. Get nine games, including last year’s gorgeous Riven remaster, for just $20. (Or more, if you choose!) A portion of your purchase will support Breakthrough T1D.
Want a taste before you commit? Check out our Dev Diaries interview with Cyan programmer Karl Johnson, who lives with T1D.

Affordable Long-Lasting Insulin Coming in January
And now for something a little different, we just have to share this amazing news from Breakthrough T1D headquarters!
Nearly three years ago, Breakthrough T1D joined forces with Civica Rx, a non-profit pharmaceutical company, to manufacture and distribute low-cost insulins. Starting on January 1, 2026, the first of those insulins will be available to purchase—five pens for no more than $55, for anyone with a prescription.

															Advisor Spotlight: Disillusionist9
Disillusionist9 (also known as Em) doesn’t have T1D but she’s a diabuddy to many, including her sister, who was diagnosed over ten years ago. Em’s interests include crochet, gardening, escape rooms, and, of course, streaming. Since her first charity stream in 2023, she’s raised more than $4,000 for Breakthrough T1D.
“Raising awareness and funds for Breakthrough T1D is a huge motivator to stream and share on Twitch,” she tells us. “I have multiple family members and friends who live with type 1, and I want to see their lives made easier and better through advancements in technology and work towards a cure. The fact that I get to have fun and meet other incredibly talented fundraisers is the best bonus possible.”
For her November charity streams, Disillisuionist9 is reviving Skyrim Chaos, which had us cracking up the last time she did it. “Skyrim Chaos is a super home-brew method of Crowd Control that results in hilarious combinations of actions,” she explains—things like changing her stats, giving her extra supplies, sending her to a very dangerous location with minimal items, or forcing her to fight a dragon with jelly arms or punch a chicken and get arrested.
In 2023, her Skyrim Chaos run involved a Pure Mage working on the College of Winterhold quest line, no armor, with an Argonian that was eventually turned into a legally distinct blue hedgehog. This year she’s letting the community decide some factors of her playthrough before it starts, via this Google form. The form closes soon, so get your votes in asap!
