When @terribleboops was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 12, resources around #T1D were hard to find and her family didn’t always live close to medical centers that provided the support she needed.

As a result, Boops faced many challenges growing up with #type1diabetes. Between the technology, nutrition, and general misconceptions prevalent among the institutions and medical professionals around her, she always felt that having T1D was a massive mountain to overcome.

That’s why working with @breakthrought1dplay as a #ReadyType1 Ambassador is important to Boops—raising awareness, sharing knowledge and resources, and doing her part to support efforts to cure T1D for those who ever felt that way she did growing up with this devastating autoimmune disease.

What a worthy mission, Boops. We’re lucky to call you a Ready Type 1 Ambassador!

Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 25, this model/actor/volunteer/cross stitch club-er extraordinaire vividly remembers being the only diabetic in her High School. 😲

Now, with her sidekick Buttercup in tow (can we get some pets for the good dog? 🐶), she dedicates her free time to raising awareness about what it means to be a diabetic and emphasizing how representation is super important!
