What is Breakthrough T1D Play?
Breakthrough T1D Play (formerly JDRF Game2Give®) is a program within Breakthrough T1D, the leading global type 1 diabetes research and advocacy organization. We bring together all types of people who love video games to spread awareness, support each other, and fundraise through our favorite medium.
The program was started in 2019 by game industry veterans who have kids with T1D, a currently incurable autoimmune disease that affects nearly 9M people worldwide.
Since then, our community has grown to include hundreds of gamers, streamers, developers, and publishers who have used video games to raise more than $5M for critical research into new treatments and potential cures—and we’ll keep at it until we can say GAME OVER to T1D!
